The 2011 World Cheese Awards is the world’s largest international cheese competition. The coveted awards echo around the globe, giving winning cheese producers a platformto increase sales and enjoy worldwide recognition.

More than 200 leading cheese buyers, retail experts, chefs and food journalists will judge at the awards this year. Staged in a dedicated hall alongside the famous BBC Good Food Show, the 2011 World Cheese Awards will command massive national and international attention, taking place on 23rd November.

 

Last year, over 2,000 cheeses from the UK, Europe, the USA, South Africa and the Australasia were shipped to the NEC, Birmingham. The Cornish Cheese Company’s Cornish Blue Cheese won the prestigious 2010 Supreme Champion, and is enjoying monumental success with their cheese now being stocked in major independents and on the back of its success a listing in Sainsbury’s.
